Archie JonesEight educators from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio have been selected as winners of the 2014 Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award from The University of Texas System. Dr. Jones is a Distinguished Teaching Professor and director of the Predoctoral Division of Periodontics. For 33 years, he has taught students in all four years of dental school, postdoctoral students and dental hygiene students. William W. Dodge, DDSOn March 16, 2014 at the American Dental Education Association’s Opening Ceremony, William W. Dodge, DDS, Dean of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School and Professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry was awarded a Citation for Exceptional Service to the ADEA and dental education community.

David Duncan, D.D.S.Dr. David A. Duncan of Amarillo was recently elected by his peers as president on the 2013-14 Board of Directors of the 8,800-member Texas Dental Association (TDA). This is Dr Duncan’s second year of a 3-year term. Dr Duncan received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School in 1989.
